Our skilled osteopathy team recommends early stage treatments and maintenance sessions along with exercises to minimise potential structural changes. A full and confidential case history is taken asking questions about your complaint, your past medical history and any medications you may be taking. The examination with consent may require you to take off some clothing because the nature of the treatment is "hands on.” There are male and female practitioners available.

At The Pain Relief Centre, our team provides advice on posture and exercise to aid your recovery, promote health and prevent your symptoms recurring. Prevention is better than cure, and it is often easier to treat underlying strains before the pain begins or worsens.

Physiotherapy- Follow up treatment (30 Minute appointment £40)

Our Physiotherapists are registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Physiotherapy can help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.

Physiotherapists help to maintain health for people of all ages, managing pain, restoring movement and function. We often see a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:

Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and sports injuries. Painful bones, Joints and soft tissue. Individuals with musculoskeletal injuries.

Physiotherapy is also useful in rehabilitation for movement and mobility problems. Which can be a result of a number of health conditions, including problems with the Brain, Nervous system, Heart and circulation or respiratory conditions.

Physiotherapy can improve your physical activity while helping you to prevent further injuries. Similar to Osteopaths, Physiotherapists consider the body as a whole, rather than just focusing on the individual aspects of an injury or illness.

When visiting a physiotherapist, you could expect to receive:

Manual Therapy ‘hands on’ treatment - The physiotherapist will provide treatment, including soft tissue massage and mobilisation to decrease pain and improve mobility.

Education and advice – Such as posture and correct lifting or carrying techniques to help prevent injuries. Along with movement and exercise or physical activity advice, tailored to your needs and rehabilitation.

Acupuncture does not rely on any external medicines or additional supplements; there is nothing added to the needles. It can be used in conjunction with any medication or therapy you may already be engaged in. Acupuncture has been an important part of Chinese medicine for at least 2000 years. Chinese doctors are interested in the energy flow of your body. This energy, called Qi, connects all the organs of the body. Blockages in this energy flow will result in the diseases that we are familiar with today. Our acupuncture specialist at Pain Relief Centre Ltd sees a wide range of conditions from our clinic in Flint. These vary from acute problems such as painful backs to more chronic conditions.

Sports massage and treatment to mobilise the body’s soft tissue.

Remedial massage is the combination of very deep kneading, stroking and muscle stretching techniques to manipulate and mobilise your body's soft tissues. This helps many conditions and injuries, such as pulled, tight or strained muscles. Massage helps your muscles to relax through heat generation and stretching and can ease tension and pressure build up. It can be beneficial in reducing scar tissue from previous injuries and in helping damaged ligaments regain correct alignment to reduce recuperation time.

Our knowledgeable staff provide remedial massage to help improve your blood flow to areas to promote nutrient flow and healing. Improved lymphatic circulation and drainage aids in waste product removal and so encourages the muscles to take up oxygen and nutrients that help them speed up recovery.

Other benefits of massage include the response of the nervous system, which can be soothed for pain relief or stimulated for aiding rehabilitation. Athletes may need to improve the elasticity and power of muscle groups to maximise their performance, and sports massage is often used. However, you do not need to be an Athlete or have a sporting injury to benefit from this treatment type.
